FPI La Tuna - Capabilities
Upfitting for Safety and Security
FPI La Tuna´s upfitting operation includes supplying customers with light- and heavyduty trucks, sport utility vehicles and various types of K-9 vehicle packages. Law enforcement's garrison section is supplied with different types of sedans and vans. Every one of our product lines receives unique, mission-critical customizations as requested by our customers.We are also working to establish a fully operational, in-house metal fabrication shop, which will allow us to improve product turn-around time and increase customer satisfaction.
Modern Tools and Equipment for a More Efficient Job
The employees at FPI La Tuna are trained in all aspects of the modern machinery located throughout the facility. Most of the mechanical tools are powered by a 300 gallon air compressor that pumps 125psi, delivered to all work bays by drop lines. Each production area is supplied with standard automotive tools and equipment, and the facility is also equipped with:
- A fully-vented drive-in paint booth/dryer
- Lincoln portable arc welder, sp-135
- Lincoln power mig 255 welder
- Pro-cut 55
- Hydraulic press (15 ton)
- Bench grinder
- Clausing drill press
- TennSmith 48" break
- Dewalt chop saw
- 52" sheer saw
- Pipe cutting band saw
A walk-in powder coat paint booth with powder coat bake oven will be added in the near future.
