Sales ReportsSection 4122 (b)(6) of Title 18 of the U.S. Code requires that Federal Prison Industries, Inc. (FPI or trade name UNICOR) publish a report every six months listing the corporation's sales. The report is generated at the end of the first six months of the fiscal year and at the end of the fiscal year. The report includes the corporation's sales for the period by Federal Supply Classification (FSC) code, Federal agency/customer, and, presently, Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code. The Department of Commerce has developed a new coding system, the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS), to replace the SIC. For each designated period, FPI compiles the pertinent data, and reports its sales as mandated. Ordinarily, the FPI Sales Report will be available approximately 120 days following the end of the reporting period. Upon completion of the FPI Sales Report, FPI publishes an announcement in FedBizOpps. The FedBizOpps announcement advises the public of the availability of the FPI Sales Report, and interested parties can obtain a copy of the report by submitting a written request to the Chief Administrative Officer of the FPI Research, Activation and Corporate Support Branch. Upon receipt of a request, a copy of the FPI Sales Report will be mailed to each requestor. Interested parties may now also obtain copies of FPI Sales Reports, from Fiscal Year 2007 to the present, by accessing this page. FY 2011
