FedBizOpps Notice
FPI’s Procedures for Managing Non-DoD FSC codes
Above or Below a 20 percent Three Year Average
Threshold

This notice announces FPI’s procedures for managing non-DoD FSC codes above or below a 20 percent market share threshold. A Board of Directors’ resolution directs FPI to limit the application of mandatory source to products for which FPI’s share of the Federal market is less than 20 percent (the 20 Percent Resolution).

The non-DoD FSC codes which fall under the 20 percent resolution will be evaluated on an annual basis. If the market share is above 20 percent, the FSC code will be added to the 20 percent resolution list and FPI will have to compete for those products. If the market share is below the 20 percent threshold, the FSC code will be taken off the list and returned to FPI’s Schedule of Products. The review will be performed annually and the list will be published in the FedBizOpps with the announcement of FPI’s Market Share Report.

Interested parties have 30 days to comment or raise questions with FPI’s Board of Directors. All written correspondence should be addressed to: Chief, Marketing, Research, and Corporate Support Branch, Federal Prison Industries, Inc., 320 First Street, NW, Washington, D.C. 20534.
